I started drinking Uncle Lee's White tea about a week ago. This is after starting on a Liptons 100% natural green tea kick for about 8 weeks. A lot of us at work have been exchanging tea, so far this is my favorite.

I bought it on amazon just search "uncle lee's white tea" or try my link:
http://astore.amazon.com/thpusit-20/detail/B001OMW8QM

So far I have been drinking 5-7 cups a day. Starting at around 8am, 10, after lunch (1pm) and maybe 1-2 before 5pm at work. Then after dinner 1-2 glasses at about 6pm.

I am trying White tea since it has less caffeine than Green tea. Most Green teas have 20-40mg of caffeine. Black tea can have 60-100mg. White tea has 10-30mg so I'm hoping it will help me not stay awake at night.

So far after 1 week, no more plaque. Its kind of weird and my teeth are whiter. I have read studies online that mention this benefit but most of them never really point to legit studies. Either way, its crazy.

Not sure about the weight loss benefits. I have read some studies that people lose 10% of their body fat in 3 months, but I am on month 2 and am about the same weight. However I am changing from 3-4 cups of green tea a day to about 7+ because I enjoy making the white tea and due to a Christmas present hot water warmer (or tea kettle?).

I no

Random notes:
- sore wrists from computer use and fingers still occurring (I know tea has arthritis benefits, I never have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel or arthritis out of laziness).
- drinking less soda since I'm drinking tea instead. 1 soda or beer a day is 200-300+ calories. so I'm saving about .5 pounds or more in calories a week.
- not as tired. i am chronically tired from asthma, allergies and high computer usage. this is nice!

From Wikipedia:
"White tea () is a tea made with leaves that are processed in a manner to let them wilt slightly and lose the "grassy" taste of green tea, while undergoing minimal oxidation. Like greenoolong and black tea, white tea comes from the Camellia sinensisplant. Oolong and black teas are oxidized before curing.White tea is a specialty of the Chinese province Fujian.[1] The leaves come from varieties of tea cultivars. Popular are Da Bai (Large White), Xiao Bai (Small White), Narcissus and Chaicha bushes. According to the standards of picking and selection, white teas can be classified into a number of grades, described in the varieties section. "

Gunnar Optiks R5306/8-C005 Catalyst Bit Surfer Digital Performance Eyewear with i-AMP Lens Technology (Ash)
-or find other pairs on Amazon

Negative:
- little learning curve (eye adjustment)
- snow becomes pee snow...
- the yellow/amber and tinted glasses are not well suited for graphics designers due to yellow hued glasses

Neutral:
They are making graphic designer crystal versions in the feature
- can be made into prescriptions in select areas/models
- Read reviews on Newegg.com and Amazon.com before buying to see what pair is for you.

Postive:
- Greatly reduce eye strain
- Less sleepy
- I read faster
- Easier to search menus and websites, quicker glancing
- Less computer red eye
- hopefully make your eyes stay better
- weak prescription bonus boost. I am nearsighted, yet these are just strong enough to make text easier to read. Now I can have a pair for work and keep my regular glasses for driving or at home.
- good reading for users that study online, read pdf books for glass or read a lot of text and word documents. I wish I had these glasses for college along time ago.

HTML E-mail marketing Design Guide tips
  1.       Each email must have a doctype declared at the top of the code. This must be the first line of code for all emails.

a.       Example:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

2.       If XHTML is used (like buzz) we cannot use a <html> tag, this is invalid. Instead it needs to reflect the type of email it is.

a.       Example: (this must be a complete w3.org tag of some sort)

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

3.       Each email needs a meta tag. This is placed under  <title> (under the doctype/html tags as well). In Shannon’s example it is placed above the styles as well.

a.       Example:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />

4.       The charset in the meta tag or elsewhere needs to be charset=ISO-8859-1 for all emails. Non-emails it is fine to use UTF-8, however our marketing software does not support UTF-8, so this generates an error that could trigger a spam flag.

5.       Try utilizing font styles in xhtml rather than invalid font tags (as in the footer area).

6.       All xhmtl alt/image tags must end with a /> . Currently we are ending these with a >, which is invalid and generates an error. The correct method is />

a.       Example:

<img src="http://www.testt.com/graphics/borders/dotted_line_horizontal.gif" alt="" width="430" height="12" border="0" />  This is the correct method

7.       I believe each img src as in #6, must have an alt tag. This will however allow AOL and other users see a semi-decent version of our emails if their client does not support CSS or XHMTL. I do not believe alt=”” is helpful for the client.

8.       Place header and footer in unique, separate tables. Currently some of our emails do not have this in tables (or css) which can cause display issues for our viewers.

a.       Header:  Each email needs a view online link, and “add address…” at the top of the page, in a unique table.

b.      Footer: Each email needs a subscribe, unsubscribe, privacy policy and physical address, in a unique table.

c.       Physical address:  of the building aka post address.

9.       Dreamweaver Cleanup Utility:

a.       Each campaign must be run through the Dreamweaver cleanup utility. This can help fix our doctype and html tags to the proper setting if they are invalid.

b.      Directions: Click “commands” > “clean up html” or “clean up xhmtl”

10.   Validate your code:

a.       Each campaign must be validated before sending it off. Please fix all errors not related to & and = signs (until we find a solution for these).

b.      Code can be validated here:

                                                           i.      http://validator.w3.org/

                                                         ii.      http://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_input

c.       Note: sometimes the link version will not validate your code, this is due to errors in your code. The bom buzz is not able to be validated as a link since the code is invalid. The more fixed MS Buzz is able to be validated via link since there are proper doctype, html and meta tags.

                                                           i.      This is most likely due to no meta tag, no chartype  (this must be fixed for BOM buzz)

1.       No Character Encoding Found! Falling back to UTF-8.”

ii.      Watch for these warnings with our new html tags:

1.       This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional! (please fix this for MS/Bom buzz)

Please find a version that works before finalizing your code.

Tips:

1.       All xhtml <p> tags must have a </p> closing p tag.

2.       All xhtml breaks must be <br />  .    The <br> tag is invalid and should never be used in xhtml.

3.       Use styles over fonts. Also all font tags need a closing font tag.

4.       Bullets should never be utilized in email

5.       Trademarks, Register marks and other symbols should use HTML numbers rather than UTF-8 or “html name”.

a.       Invalid example: &reg;

b.      Valid example:  &#174;

c.    Codes can be found here: http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

Common Errors and Solutions:

1.       All vector, text and non-photos should be created as gifs and not jpegs. If saved as jpegs this often dilutes the quality of the image and makes some images unclear. For instance, a BOM logo should be a vector gif, rather than a jpeg. Try utilizing jpegs for photos/artwork.

2.       Style tags:

a.       The style tag cannot be uppercase

b.      The style tag must be in the header area, it cannot be placed in the body. So it must be placed before </header> and before <body>

c.       The style tag needs a full style tag, and not just <style>

                                                               i.      Valid: <style type="text/css" media="screen">

3.       Error: there is no attribute "alt".

a.       Solution: add alt tag

4.       element "BR" undefined.

a.       Solution: <BR /> is invalid, however , <br /> is correct. Make sure the breaks are lowercase. Also make sure <br /> is utilized in xhtml and not <br>.

5.       Unknown attributes for margins:

a.       Sometimes dreamweaver sets attributes for body and tables to “leftmargin = 0” or “topmargin=0”, maybe 3-6 margins all set to “0”. This is out of date html that no longer is needed. This will generate one error for each instance, simply remove the attribute and it will remove the error.

6.       element "IMG" undefined.

a.       This error is due to an image source having a capitalized image tag. Simply change it to img src from IMG src and it will solve this issue, alt tag issues and margin issues.  (fixes 1-3 errors for each instance fixed).

7.       If you are getting closing tag errors, re-organize your divs and tables to reduce these errors. Do not ignore these
